U.S. Army Survey Says: Non-Believers Unfit To Serve

I suppose we can call this entry a follow up to the discussion at our October 2010 meeting regarding the abuse of junior military personnel by senior military officers who desire to proselytize and violate the 2nd Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. What we’re talking about here is the recently reported “mandatory” survey by the U.S. Army which was, in part, designed to measure soldiers’ “Spiritual Fitness” as the Army describes it themselves. Called the “Soldier Fitness Tracker”, the underlying purpose of the exercise was to “demonstrate” that non-believers are “unfit” to serve. This is also a blatant violation of Article Six of the U.S. Constitution which prohibits “religious tests”.

Besides Americans for the Separation of Church and State, the Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF), the Freedom From Religion Foundation (FFRF), and other groups have been outraged by this action.
